LOS CABOS, MEXICO—Following Hurricane Odile, Starwood Hotels & Resorts has reimagined the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort in Los Cabos with a property-wide renovation of its 28-acre resort.
“We have reclaimed our position as one of the most beautiful destinations in Los Cabos,” said Renato Mendonca, GM of the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar. “The resort is spectacular and we are enjoying extremely high occupancy rates and an effusive guest response.”
The Sheraton Hacienda del Mar now features all new guestrooms, event space, restaurants and recreation areas, and is offering packages ranging from FlyBoarding, zip-line adventures and a camel-back safari to dolphin swim, snorkel and spa immersions.
The resort’s guestrooms and private terraces feature new furnishings and finishes that blend dark woods and earth tones with blue accents and original artwork by local artists. Egyptian cotton duvets wrap new Sweet Sleeper Beds. Bathrooms feature Mexican tile sinks and whirlpool baths.
Accommodating groups of up to 1600 in its event space, including an historic chapel and seven other venues, the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar has added a new oceanfront Plazuela for brides and event planners.
Additionally, the resort’s pool decks have been completely revamped. The infinity pool, overlooking the Sea of Cortez, now features color-changing underwater lights and a new “cool deck” for comfort underfoot, as well as a wet lounge. The Delfines pool, with its golf course view, features a swim-up bar and the property has added a new putting green.
Fitness amenities include a state-of-the-art Sheraton Fitness facility and miles of white sand or landscaped walking/jogging paths.
The hotel has updated its Tomatoes restaurant and added a new quick service venue, El Molino, which serves Starbucks coffee and a variety of sweet breads, sandwiches and pastries.
