AMARILLO, TX—My Place Hotels of America, LLC, has opened its first hotel in Texas here. The brand’s 24th franchised property, the four-story, 63-room hotel is located at 2208 Cinema Dr. near the city’s regional medical center.
The new hotel is independently owned by KAMP Hotels, LLC, which was founded and owned by Amarillo natives Kevin Nelson and Alan Rhodes, and managed by Legacy Management, LLC. The hotel will celebrate its grand opening on June 20, alongside brand representatives, The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce and The Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
According to the company, this hotel is the first of several My Place hotel locations in development within the South Central Region. For example, KAMP Hotels will open a second property later this year in Lubbock, TX.
All My Place Hotels offer extended-stay guestrooms with a kitchen, complete with a two-burner cooktop, a microwave and a full refrigerator. The property is pet friendly and will also include on-site laundry facilities, complimentary high speed internet service and a 24-hour My Store, located in the hotel lobby and stocked with an array of supplies. Additionally, guests are invited to enjoy the new Breakfast in Bed option.
