Moxy Hotels invites artists to submit original work for the #BlankCanvas campaign.

BETHESDA, MD—Marriott International’s Moxy Hotels brand is in search of emerging artists for its program #BlankCanvas.

#BlankCanvas invites painters, photographers, film-makers, sculptors, illustrators and graffiti artists to submit works of art for the chance to be one of the featured artists at new Moxy Hotels. According to the brand, selected works will become the cornerstone of a permanent contemporary, emerging art collection at each hotel.

Moxy Hotels is working with Talenthouse on the initiative.

“#BlankCanvas embodies a fun and innovative business approach to curating art and style—much like the Moxy brand,” said Vicki Poulos, global brand director, Moxy Hotels. “In addition to creating a platform for emerging artists to explore their creativity and showcase their work, the program aims to reinvent the conventional hotel guest experience and encourage new conversations around arts and culture.”

The brand will unveil its next selected artist at the debut celebration for Moxy New Orleans in May. Artist selection announcements will also be made at Moxy Tempe, AZ; Moxy Nashville, TN; and Moxy Berlin. Moxy Hotels launched #BlankCanvas in September 2014 at the grand opening of its Milan hotel with Nune D’Amico Kerobyan winning the title of Artist-in-Residence.
