ORLANDO, FL— John Molnar has been named the new director of convention services and catering for the 1,334-room Rosen Centre here. Molnar has been with Rosen Hotels and Resorts for the past 10 years. Prior to his promotion, he spent the last 18 months working as the national sales manager for the Midwest market for the Rosen Shingle Creek and assisted in preparations for the resort’s September opening. Molnar joined the Rosen team in 1996 working as a package room manager at the Rosen Centre. He subsequently held other positions including assistant banquet set-up manager, conference service manager and convention services/catering manager. In 2002, Molnar was promoted to assistant director of convention services and catering at the hotel. In his new position, he will be responsible for overseeing the convention service/catering department, banquet and banquet set-up departments, package room and reservations. The 24-story Rosen Centre is adjacent to the Orange County Convention Center.
