ATLANTA— Microtel Inns & Suites can put another J.D. Power and Associates award on its mantle. For the fourth consecutive year, the economy chain was ranked highest in guest satisfaction among economy/budget hotels in J.D. Power’s 2005 North American Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study. Out of 13 national hotel brands within its segment, Microtel scored highest in the study through three guest satisfaction measures that include hotel services, facilities and costs and fees. Microtel is the only economy chain to have received this award four times. The 2005 J.D. Power Study is based on responses from 37,471 guests who stayed at economy hotels between December 2004 and May 2005. This is the study’s ninth year in existence.
