COLUMBIA, MD— Micros Systems, Inc., based here, and Expedia have come together to create a new XML-based direct connection between Expedia and Micros’ Myfidelio.net service, which is powered by the Opera Reservation System. Sunstar Hotels of Switzerland is the first Micros customer to deploy this connection. With the connection, Sunstar will be able to manage all rates, inventory and availability from its Micros Property Management System and receive reservations directly into its reservation system utilizing Myfidelio.net. This connection is also pushed through any of Micros’ PMS systems, including Opera PMS, Fidelio Suite 8, Fidelio Version 6 and Fidelio Version 7.
