MIAMI—Hampton Inn & Suites Brickell-Downtown has been selected to be among 96 out of over 4,700 Hilton hotels worldwide, to participate on the Google Business Photos Hotel Pilot Program.
The program is comparable to Google Street View for hotels. Google Business Photos is a virtual tour of the hotels using the same technology for Street View. A series of panoramic pictures taken of each individual hotel will be stitched together to create a 360-degree interactive tour. Users will be invited to step inside and take a tour when they search for hotels on Google Search, Google Maps, Google Maps for Mobile, Google+ and Google Hotel Finder.
Google believes that Business Photos provides a unique opportunity for hotels to showcase their properties as consumers are planning their trips and making hotel booking decisions. Photos and interactive maps are two of the top features used by travelers when selecting a hotel, according to PhoCusWright. Tripadvisor’s internal analysis shows that “travelers are 150% more engaged on listings with 20+ photos, than those with only a few photos.”
The boutique-style Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown, which opened in late 2011, is LEED certified and located within walking distance to several public transit systems.
“We are very proud to have been selected by Google to be among this select group of hotels worldwide and I believe this program will help showcase our environmentally conscious and guest oriented facilities, reaching millions of potential new clients worldwide,” stated Eduardo Chapoval, general manager of the Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown.
