PUNTA CANA, DR—Meliá Hotels International’s Paradisus Palma Real has set a $12 million renovation at the property, with completion scheduled for December.

This transformation will introduce a Family Concierge concept and area of the resort, including 42 new luxury suites; a private lounge; exclusive Trattoria-style restaurant and bar; and a new private beach complete with a kid’s zone.

Available at all Paradisus properties, Family Concierge service provides luxurious suite accommodations designed specifically for parents looking to have a “hassle-free vacation,” according to the company. These suites include a dedicated concierge and children-friendly amenities.

“We are thrilled to reimagine and reintroduce the new Family Concierge service at Paradisus Palma Real,” said Rafael Torres, managing director of Paradisus Resorts, Dominican Republic.  “We look forward to welcoming families to this elevated, beachfront experience.”

The new oceanfront VIP luxury suites will be offered exclusively for Family Concierge. These  accommodations include eight oceanfront 700 sq.-ft. suites; 12 oceanfront 930-sq.-ft. junior suites; and 22 ocean view 540-sq.-ft. junior suites. All of the suites, located on the second and third floors above the resort’s new Gabi Beach Club, will be appointed with neutral color palettes as well as  new amenities including: a king-size bed; pull-out couch; bathrooms with a water closet, tub and double shower; outside seating area, including two lounge chairs and a table with chairs; several of the suites featuring outside Jacuzzis.

Paradisus Resorts is an all-inclusive luxury resort brand owned and operated by Meliá Hotels International.
