Mason Named SVP, Sales At Gaylord Hotels

NASHVILLE, TN— Gaylord Hotels has promoted Mike Mason to senior vp of sales. Mason, who most recently headed the sales team at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, FL, now leads the companys national sales office. Mason was one of the first employees hired at Gaylord Palms, assuming the director of sales position in 1999. He was subsequently promoted to vp, sales and marketing. Prior to joining Gaylord Palms, Mason was the director of sales for El Conquistador Resort and Country Club in Puerto Rico. Michael Wainwright will replace Mason as Gaylord Palms vp of sales and marketing.
