VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA— Marriot Hotels of Canada appointed Scott Stuckey to the position of general manager, Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. Earlier this year, Marriott Hotels of Canada and Pinnacle International announced that Marriott would operate the Pinnacle Hotel on the corner of Thurlow and West Hastings streets in downtown Vancouver. Marriott began to operate the 434-room hotel on July 1, 2003. Marriott International Hotels Canada currently has 36 properties in Canada, including five in British Columbia, with an additional property under construction in Victoria. The company said it anticipates having 75 hotels in Canada within three to five years.
