SHUNDE, CHINA—Marriott International, Inc. has opened the 258-room Shunde Marriott Hotel, the first hotel under its flagship Marriott Hotels brand here, a district of Foshan in China’s Guangdong Province. Under a long-term management agreement with the owner, Shunde Midea Group, the property joins the portfolio of 19 hotels in Greater China under the Marriott Hotels brand.
Located in the Midea Plaza, Shunde Marriott Hotel—the tallest international five-star hotel in Shunde—is situated in the eastern Daling. It is only a 10-minute drive to both Shunde Station of Guangzhou Railway and Shunde Port; 30 minutes to Guangzhou South Railway Station; and 60 minutes to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

The Shunde Marriott Hotel offers 258 guestrooms featuring views of either Shunfeng Mountain Park or the city skyline. Each room is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities and amenities. The executive rooms and suites are located on the 28th floor together with the Executive Lounge.
The hotel offers a 15,070-sq.-ft. pillar-less grand ballroom equipped with a large LED display panel, as well as a 5,382-sq.-ft. foyer complementing floor-to-ceiling windows. Also available are five meeting rooms with spaces ranging from 323 to 1,184 sq. ft. and a glass wedding pavilion.
The hotel features three restaurants: Goji Kitchen & Bar, which offers a buffet and an à la carte menu; Man Ho Chinese restaurant; and The Lounge, which offers locally inspired cocktails, specialty drinks and signature Chinese teas.
Amenities include an indoor swimming pool, a 24-hour health center, plus a spa center with six treatment rooms.
