Marriott Buys Ritz-Carlton Kapalau Hotel, HI

MAUI, HI Marriott International bought the Ritz-Carlton Kapalau Hotel in Maui for $143 million from Osaka, Japan-based Nissho Iwai Corp., a trading company. Tishman Hotel Corp. s investment banking group brokered the sale of the 548-room luxury hotel, which was built in 1992 and ranked the third best hotel in the world by Travel & Leisure magazine.
