CANCUN, MEXICO— Marriott International, acting in the wake of the damage left by Hurricane Wilma, has airlifted 239 guests to safety from its hotels here. Mariott chartered the private flights to ferry guests to either Mexico City or Atlanta, GA. Like the rest of Cancuns hotel inventory, three properties— a Ritz-Carlton, J.W. Marriott, and the full-service CasaMagna Marriott— suffered extensive water and wind damage. In the wake of the storm, the destination also has suffered loss of power and random looting.
