IRVINE, CA—Marina del Rey Hotel has reopened after a $25-million renovation. Originally opened in 1964, the reopening coincides with the Marina’s 50th Anniversary.

The waterfront property offers 164 updated rooms and suites, a full-service restaurant named SALT, 24-hour room service, concierge assistance, outdoor, marina-facing pool and sundeck, waterfront wedding venue, multiple meeting spaces and boat slips, among other amenities.

Marina del Rey Hotel’s guestrooms were designed to reflect the California calm character of the property’s surrounding area. Elements include cool colors and maritime touches meant to blend the interior with the Marina exterior. Rooms are furnished and appointed with 55-in. LED HDTVs, high-thread Egyptian cotton linens, Molton Brown bath amenities, plush oversized robes, Keurig Coffee machines, and complimentary WiFi.

SALT, the hotel’s on-the-water, indoor-outdoor restaurant, features seasonal ingredients sourced from local farmer’s markets created by Executive Chef Mark Gold.

The hotel also offers 9,700 sq. ft. of event space designed to accommodate up to 350 guests. A new, 3,500-sq.-ft. waterfront event lawn has been added to the property grounds and offers views of the Marina.

The Marina del Rey Hotel is one of five Pacifica hotels in the half-mile radius of Marina del Rey. This area penetration is part of Pacifica’s ongoing strategy to enhance regional tourism and bring additional business to the Marina del Rey area, according to the company. The company’s other Marina del Rey hotels include Jamaica Bay Inn, Hilton Garden Inn Marina del Rey, Inn at Marina del Rey, and Inn at Venice Beach.
