PRAGUE—Mama Shelter has plans to expand into Czech Republic with Mama Shelter Prague. The 10-story, 238-room property is a strategic conversion from the former Parkhotel and is expected to open in Q4 2017. Mama Shelter Prague will occupy the former Parkhotel and will be designed by Jalil Amor.
The hotel will have three different guestroom types, including Mama Medium (nearly 194 sq. ft.), Mama XL (nearly 270 sq. ft.) and Mama XXL (nearly 474 sq. ft.). The property will also have one penthouse, (about 754 sq. ft.). Every room will have king beds, free WiFi, TV and free movies.
There are also five meeting rooms along with an outdoor area. The new location also has a 300-seat restaurant that will include comfort menu items such as wood oven pizzas and family-style dishes.
Additionally, there is a basketball court along with a gym. The Trigano family, co-founders of Club Med, created Mama Shelter eight years ago with an inaugural location in Paris. The Prague location marks the first Mama Shelter in the city and the seventh overall for the family brand.
