DUCK, NC — The Left Bank, a new 60-seat fine dining establishment with a French-inspired menu, has opened at The Sanderling, an oceanfront resort here. The new restaurant has 10-foot windows to provide views of the Currituck Sound and computerized shades that lower according to the sun setting. In addition, there is a display kitchen, which later this year will allow for chef demonstrations. The Left Banks interior emphasizes its geographical surroundings by weaving natural tones from the sea and sound throughout the entire building. Nationally recognized designer William Peace of Peace Design in Atlanta created the restaurants interior. Peace has designed the inside of various establishments including Fontaines Oyster Bar in Atlanta.
