ACAPULCO The high-profile, pink and white Las Brisas resort in Acapulco has, ended its affiliation with Westin Hotels and Resorts and will now operate under the holding umbrella of the Brisas Hotel Group.
Brisas Hotel Group is a holding corporation, which also operates other luxury properties in Mexico, including Las Brisas Ixtapa, Las Hadas Manzanillo, Hotel Hacienda Jurica in Queretara and The Galeria Plaza in Mexico City.
Las Brisas in Acapulco will undergo a $1 million makeover, which will renovate the hotel s famous casita units, as well as back-of-the-house elements, like plumbing, electricity and other fixtures. Bathrooms will also be redone with marble flooring and aesthetic lighting. (8/22/00)
