SAN ANTONIO— Hyatt Hotels Corp. has appointed Scott Lane director of sales and marketing of the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. The 1,000-room hotel is slated to open in early 2008. Lane, a 13-year veteran of Hyatt hotels, will report directly to Tim Lindgren, svp/field operations, and Steve D’Agostino, executive director of sales, Hyatt Hotels Corp. Previously, Lane served as director of sales and marketing of the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago. In other experience he held sales positions at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, Hyatt Regency Austin, Grand Hyatt Atlanta, Hyatt Regency Atlanta and Hyatt Regency Houston. The Grand Hyatt San Antonio will be adjacent to the convention center downtown San Antonio along the Riverwalk. This will be the first Grand Hyatt in San Antonio and the third Hyatt in the area, joining the Hyatt Regency San Antonio and the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. It will be the 12th Hyatt in Texas when it opens.
