DALLAS— La Quinta Corp. is making the first of several planned conversions under its cross-brand conversion with the opening of the La Quinta Inn & Suites-Milwaukee SW/New Berlin. To introduce and expand the La Quinta and Baymont brands in new markets, the company identified a group of hotels in various parts of the country for conversion upon acquiring the Baymont Inn & Suites brand in September 2004. Each property will undergo renovations to reflect the change in brands. Formerly a Baymont Inn and Suites, the property offers 88 guestrooms and suites. It features free high-speed Internet access, complimentary continental breakfast, heated indoor swimming pool and spa, fitness center, guest laundry facility and meeting space for more than 20 persons.
