JUAREZ, MEXICO— La Quinta Corporation is about to make its initial foray into Mexico with a new property here that will be developed by Plaza Triunfo S.A. de C.V., a Mexican corporation and now La Quinta’s first Mexican franchisee. The 85-room hotel will appear in the heart of the city’s business district and is expected to premier in 2006. Construction on the property is scheduled to commence this fall. La Quinta is also exploring additional Mexican alliances and opportunities for future development in Mexican border cities like Juarez as well as urban and resort locations located deeper in the heart of the country.
