SAN CLEMENTE, CA—Hotel REIT Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc. has promoted chief financial officer Jon Kline to president. The appointment was part of a series of management moves aimed at expanding the companys executive team. Chief executive Robert Alter ceded the presidents post to Kline, who will remain CFO through 2006. In addition, Kenneth Cruse was promoted tosvp/finance and will take over for Kline as CFO in January. Marc Hoffman will take over as svp/asset management from Cruse.
