SAN FRANCISCO— Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has appointed Jim Alderman as its new senior vp of acquisitions and development. Based in Atlanta, Alderman will now be responsible for directing and coordinating all Kimpton property acquisitions and management contract negotiations. He will also be tasked with identifying new hotel and restaurant opportunities in the Southeast and Southwest. Alderman had previously been the senior vp of development for North America at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. While at Starwood, he was responsible for management contracts and franchised development in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
