JACKSON, MS— Kana Hotel Group has been given the go ahead to construct the first Embassy Suites Hotel in Mississippi. The $19 million project will rise here and will be one of the brand’s new Design Option III prototypes. The 140-suite hotel project will break ground this summer and is slated for completion in summer finish in summer 2008. The property will feature a rooms tower, double-loaded corridors, an indoor pool, 6,000 square feet of meeting space and two, 32-inch high-definition LCD televisions in each suite with HD programming. The Embassy Suites Hotel Jackson/Ridgeland will be built within the Township at Colony Park, an upscale mixed-use development. Kerioth Corp. is developing the Township at Colony Park; Kana Hotel Group will own and operate the Embassy Suites.
