MACAU, CHINA—Marriott International, Inc. marked a new milestone with the opening of JW Marriott Hotel Macau and The Ritz-Carlton, Macau in the Special Administrative Region (S.A.R) of Macau in South China.

Marriott International currently operates 177 hotels in Asia Pacific and the JW Marriott Hotel Macau marks the region’s 29th JW Marriott property. By 2020, the JW Marriott brand is expected to have more than 50 properties in the Asia Pacific region. The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC currently operates 88 hotels around the globe with The Ritz-Carlton, Macau being its 89th hotel. The brand is planning to double its footprint across Asia in the next five years. The grand opening of both the JW Marriott Hotel Macau and The Ritz-Carlton, Macau will further solidify Macau’s evolving positioning as a leading destination for leisure and entertainment as well as meetings, incentives and special events.
JW Marriott Hotel Macau and The Ritz-Carlton are located at Galaxy Macau, Phase II – Macau’s newest, fully integrated resort. Here, guests have access to a host of leisure and entertainment options, including premium shopping, dining, world-class entertainment events and multi-functional meeting spaces.
JW Marriott Hotel Macau offer 1,015 rooms and suites styled with views of the Galaxy Macau’s Grand Resort Deck and Cotai Macau. The newly opened JW Marriott Hotel Macau is home to four restaurants. The Ritz-Carlton, Macau will feature over 250 suites on the top floors of the integrated resort.
The Ritz-Carlton, Macau is an all-suite hotel with more than 250 suites on the top floors of the integrated resort. The hotel is adorned in Azulejo tiles, a form of Portuguese or Spanish ceramic tile that is synonymous with the heritage decor found in Macau today, according to the company. During their in-room check in on arrival, guests can sample the local culture with Chinese tea and local snacks. Among the amenities are an outdoor pool with views over Cotai, and the ESPA spa, which offers 10 treatment rooms and three couples’ suites. There is also nearly 9,700 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space. Food and beverage options include Cantonese fine dining at Lai Heen; high-teas or cocktails at The Ritz-Carlton Bar & Lounge; the casual The Ritz-Carlton Café; and the Pool Bar.
