SAN DIEGO—J Street Hospitality Inc. has opened Hotel Z, a 96-room, select-service boutique hotel here in the Gaslamp Quarter.
The hotel was recently acquired by Columbia Properties, Inc., a commercial real estate investment company, and will be operated by its sister company, Pineapple Hospitality Co.
The hotel is an adaptive reuse completed by J Street Hospitality, which involved the conversion of a four-story, 221-unit multifamily residential building.
Hotel Z is within walking distance to numerous dining, entertainment and shopping options as well as the San Diego Convention Center, Petco Park, Westfield Horton Plaza, Seaport Village and the USS Midway Museum.
