NEW YORK- The International Society of Hospitality Purchasers (ISHP) and the AH&MAs Allied Executive Committee (AEC) are gathering some of the industrys top purchasing leaders at a cocktail reception being held at the Waldorf-Astoria here on November 10.

Among those who will be in attendance at the event, which is being held to raise money for the Camp Pacific Heartland charity, are Laurie Benjamin of Benjamin Brothers, Steve Higgins of Higgins Purchasing Group, Doug Parker of Leonard Parker & Co., and Dick Moskal of Purchase Pro.

Tickets for the event are $2,500 with $2,000 being donated to the charity, which benefits children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. More than a dozen industry suppliers have already acquired tickets including: Courtesy Products, Shaw Hospitality, Durkan, U.S. Vinyl Manufacturing, Sealy Mattress, and MTS Seating.

According to executives at ISHP, the group plans to raise $60,000 for Camp Pacific Heartland as a result of the event.

“We are very excited to be part of what we think will be a great event and to raise money for Camp Pacific Heartland,” said Neil Locke, CEO of Neil Locke and Assoc. and president of ISHP. “ISHP is a group of leaders dedicated to helping important causes,” he said. (10/30/00) –Shannon McMullen
