NEWPORT BEACH, CA— The Irvine Co. plans to assume management of the Four Seasons Hotel here. A new name for the 295-room property has not yet been selected, according to an Irvine Co. spokeswoman. In addition, despite speculation to the contrary, Four Seasons will not manage a second resort being developed by Irvine nearby. The 204-room Pelican Hill at Newport Coast also will be managed independently. Construction on the resort, which will 128 residencial units, began this summer with completion tentatively scheduled for 2007-2008.
