NATIONAL REPORT—Hotel Business is tracking management contracts. Companies in today’s roundup include Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Bespoke Hotels and Onyx Hospitality Group.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts Grows Global Portfolio Through Continued European Expansion
Interstate Hotels & Resorts has expanded its footprint. The management company recently opened four new hotels in Europe and a regional office in Amsterdam. Interstate Hotels & Resorts’ Borealis properties to recently open include the Hotel Indigo The Hague in the Netherlands, which sits opposite the royal Noordeinde Palace; Aparthotel Adagio Amsterdam City South, part of greater Amsterdam; the Hampton by Hilton Antwerp Central Station in Belgium; and the Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam City Hall. Interstate also assumed management of the newly opened The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Yervan, an upper-upscale property in Armenia’s capital city. (Interstate joined forces with Borealis Hotel Group earlier in the year.)

Bespoke Hotels to Manage Hotel at Coventry Telegraph Offices
Bespoke Hotels has reached an agreement to operate a 1950s-style boutique hotel at the former Coventry Telegraph offices. Developer Complex Development Projects (CDP) has appointed Bespoke Hotels to manage the themed hotel, which will celebrate Coventry’s famous mid-century architecture at the former Coventry Telegraph building in Corporation St.

Onyx Hospitality Group and SP Setia Announce Duo Hotel Partnership in Malaysia
Onyx Hospitality Group has signed agreements with SP Setia Berhad to launch two new Amari hotels in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. Amari Kuala Lumpur will be developed as part of KL Eco City in the capital’s Mid Valley district, while Amari Penang will offer direct connectivity to the Setia SPICE Convention Centre. Amari Penang is scheduled to open in late 2020, with Amari Kuala Lumpur opening in early 2021.
