NEW YORK—New York Hilton Midtown named Laurens Zieren general manager of the 1,985-room Manhattan property.

A veteran Hilton employee for almost 20 years, Zieren returns to New York City after five years as general manager of Hilton Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

In his new role, Zieren will direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of New York City’s largest hotel, which currently is undergoing a multimillion-dollar, multi-phase refurbishment program that includes a contemporary design for all guestrooms, enhanced wireless capability throughout the hotel and updates to the Grand Ballroom.

“Laurens’ proven leadership and expertise in management, coupled with his commitment to outstanding customer service, will ensure New York Hilton Midtown’s continued success,” stated Keith Clampet, SVP/Operations, Owned Assets, Hilton Worldwide. He added, “His prior knowledge with the property and familiarity with the Hilton brand is a key asset that will be instrumental in helping him take the city’s largest hotel to new heights.”
