IRVINE, CA—The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, designed by WATG, has opened, making it the first of the brand in the country.

Owned by Nitesh Estates, a luxury property developer, the hotel has 281 guestrooms, including one Presidential Suite and 26 executive suites. Amenities include three restaurants; a spa and a techno gym-equipped fitness center; a club lounge; a rooftop terrace; and an open-air pool deck on top of the building. Located on an L-shaped plot in the central business district, the 16-story property also features a helicopter-landing pad on the rooftop.

WATG has designed over 60 Ritz-Carlton hotels in 25 countries, and has recently been involved in Ritz-Carlton projects in Mexico, Indonesia, Panama, Morocco, Maldives, US Virgin Islands, and Taiwan.
