ATLANTA—IHG has opened West Bay Beach, a Holiday Inn Resort, located on the shores of West Grand Traverse Bay in Northern Michigan.
The property re-opened this month as a Holiday Inn Resort brand hotel following a $6-million renovation.
The four-story, 140,000-sq.-ft. property has 179 rooms, including KidSuites rooms that have bunk beds and a kids TV area with a gaming console.
In addition to 500 ft. of beachfront access, the hotel has an on-site marina equipped with boat and personal watercraft rentals, bicycle rentals and a catamaran that cruises the West Bay three times a day.
Additional amenities include on-site dining at Shimmers on The Bay, a whirlpool, sauna, fitness center, kids’ game room, Kids Club, two heated pools, an outdoor deck and approximately 8,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.
West Bay Beach, a Holiday Inn Resort hotel, owned by VS Traverse City Hotel, LLC and operated by Interstate Hotels and Resorts, is franchised by an affiliate of IHG.
