SHANGRI-LA CITY, YUNNAN—The Hylandia by Shangri-La is set to open Aug. 3 here in northwestern Yunnan in China’s Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.
Owned and operated by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, the 166-room hotel is l,ocated at an altitude of about 10,695 feet and is the first international full-service hotel in the city.
The hotel features courtyards, gardens, lounges and restaurants. Its architecture and design blends Yunnan and Tibetan styles, featuring local pine, limestone and other native materials.
