FT. LAUDERDALE, FL—Playa Hotels & Resorts will open Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in December.
The new, all-inclusive resort, at the site of the former Dreams Puerto Vallarta, is the culmination of an approximate $20-million expansion, renovation and repositioning.
Located on the southern coast of the Bahia de Banderas, the resort will be oceanfront, offering its own cloistered beach-cove with 1,250 ft. of beachfront on the Pacific Ocean.
A new architecturally inspired lobby and greeting area will become the focal point of the resort, offering an ocean view and newly designed infinity pools. Accommodations will include 336 suites, featuring signature swim-up suites, and spa-style bathrooms with stone surfaces, walk-in showers and double vanities.
F&B options will include internationally infused à la carte restaurants and buffet restaurants. Other amenities will include a fitness center, entertainment, supervised children’s activities, an adults-only pool and lounge area, as well as specialty lounges and a spa.
For meetings and special events, the resort will offer 9,900 sq. ft. of conference space, including a ballroom, plus outdoor gardens and beach venues.
Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta will be five minutes from the colonial town of Puerto Vallarta and 20 minutes from the area’s international airport.
