ATLANTA—Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), a privately owned hotel ownership and management group based here, has opened a regional office in Chicago to oversee daily operations of its growing portfolio of hotels and conference facilities in the area. The office is managed by Margie Vito, regional director/operations, a hospitality industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience.
The recently added Chicago-area properties that HVMG has assumed management of since the fourth quarter of 2011 are: the 188-room DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago-Schaumburg; the 161-room DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago Wood Dale-Elk Grove; the 120-room Hilton Garden Inn St. Charles; the Advanced Center for Training, adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn St. Charles; and the 122-room Holiday Inn Express Chicago-St. Charles.
HVMG added eight hotels to its portfolio in 2011 (a 36% growth rate) and has already added two in 2012. In 2010, HVMG added seven hotels (a 33% growth rate), despite one of the tougher operating and growth environments in the history of the hotel industry.
