ATLANTA—Hunter Hotel Advisors represented the sellers in the sale of three Florida assets, bringing Hunter’s Florida transactions up to 15 closings in the past six months.
The recent sales included the 63-room Hampton Inn Vero Beach, 65-room Country Inn & Suites Vero Beach and the 108-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Fort Pierce. The seller of the Vero Beach hotels was The Carlyle Group and a New York-based private equity firm sold the Fort Pierce hotel.
All three hotels are located on Florida’s east coast just off of Interstate 95. “The overall hotel market continues to thrive as current fundamentals remain strong. We are seeing especially strong demand in South and Coastal Florida markets,” said Lee Hunter, COO of Hunter Hotel Advisors. Hunter has Florida brokerage offices in Jacksonville and Miami.
Tampa-based Liberty Group, a vertically integrated hotel investment, management and development company, purchased the three hotels. “The upper select-service sector of the hospitality industry continues to outperform other real estate investment platforms, and we are pleased with this accretive transaction where we have acquired premium-branded hotels while adhering to our disciplined investment strategy,” said Punit Shah, CEO of Liberty Group.
Hunter’s national brokerage offices specialize in full and select-service hotels including portfolios and individual assets for clients ranging from REITs and investment banks to regional hotel owners.
