ATLANTA—Hunter Hotel Advisors’ Los Angeles office represented California-based Excel Hotel Group in the sale of the StayBridge Suites Austin Northwest, TX, for an undisclosed amount.

The 80-suite hotel was purchased by a New York opportunity fund that plans to spend over $1 million to renovate the four-story hotel that was built in 2009. This is the second hotel that Hunter’s Los Angeles office has sold for Excel in Austin in the last 30 days. Last month, Hunter sold the two-year old Fairfield Inn & Suites Austin Northwest in Austin, TX.

“Austin remains a top-growth market as the city continues to be recognized as a worldwide destination for both leisure and business travelers,” said Danny Givertz, SVP Hunter Hotel Advisors Los Angeles.
