ATLANTA—Hunter Hotel Advisors represented a Southeast-based hospitality fund in the purchase of the Hampton Inn Tampa Busch Gardens for $11.7 million.

A Tampa developer sold the new-construction, four-story, 84-guestroom hotel at a certificate of occupancy for $140,000 a key. The buyer was attracted to the new hotel’s location across from the Busch Gardens theme park and the Hilton brand.

Trey Scott in Hunter’s Jacksonville, FL office and Shamir Patel in Hunter’s Orlando, FL office worked together on the transaction. Stephen Gaylor, head of Hunter Capital Markets, arranged $8,830,000 in financing for the acquisition of the hotel.

Hunter Hotel Advisors is the nation’s premier hospitality investment firm for clients ranging from REITs and private equity firms to regional hotel owners. Since January 2014, Hunter has sold and financed more than $2 billion in single assets and portfolio transactions.
