HENDERSONVILLE, TN— Houston and Dallas in the week ending Oct. 15 continued to benefit from increased demand for hotel rooms in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Houstons RevPAR jumping 63.8%, while Dallas RevPAR growth increased 28.1%, compared to the same week in 2004. By comparison, weekly RevPAR growth for the country as a whole increased only 1%, year-over-year, according to Smith Travel Research.
