NATIONAL REPORT—A new hotel in California that offers guests the opportunity to stay in a restored Airstream trailer, the third Canopy by Hilton and two Indiana properties are among the new openings in view.

Hotel Paseo, a Marriott Autograph Collection property, managed by Evolution Hospitality, recently opened in Palm Desert, CA.
The property’s 150 guestrooms have soft gray, white and light blue tones, with modern artwork by local artists. Guests seeking a wellness-centric retreat can also book one of three spa-adjacent Oasis guestrooms that include freestanding, oval-shaped soaking tubs.
Hotel Paseo also offers nine specialty suites, including a vintage 1950 Airstream by master restorer David Winick. The fully furnished 25-ft. trailer, located on the Backyard Lawn, includes stainless steel appliances, an eight-ft. reclaimed black walnut bar and a porch with loungers. Additional one-off accommodations include the Billiards Suite with a pool table, wet bar, lounge area, and a Shinola Runwell record player complete with a curated collection of old and new vinyl; and the Grand Desert Suite, featuring a motorized expandable boardroom table for intimate meetings.
Canopy by Hilton Washington, D.C. Bethesda North
Canopy by Hilton Washington, D.C. Bethesda North recently opened in the North Bethesda, MD neighborhood of Pike & Rose. The lifestyle hotel from Hilton is the second to open in North America and third in the world ahead of Canopy by Hilton’s pipeline of nearly 30 properties.
The hotel includes 177 guestrooms including 12 suites and a 3,100-sq.-ft. ballroom named “The Outlook.”
Crowne Plaza Riverside Village
NorthPointe Hospitality Management LLC has been selected to open and operate the Crowne Plaza Riverside Village in North Augusta, SC.
The property is scheduled to open by the end of this year as part of the $200-million-plus Riverside Village at Hammond’s Ferry development along the Savannah River. The development will be anchored by a new stadium and home for the Augusta Green Jackets minor league baseball team, an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The hotel is planned to be five stories with 180 rooms and suites, a 120-seat restaurant and bar, rooftop bar, 5,000-sq.-ft ballroom and meeting rooms, outdoor pool and fitness center.
NorthPointe oversees the pre-opening sales and marketing, recruiting and training for all operational aspects of the new property. This includes a heavy emphasis on high-end food and beverage outlets, banquets and culinary experiences and expertise.
Residence Inn Lafayette
The 108-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in Lafayette, IN, is scheduled to open this week. The all-suite property will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Dada Hospitality and managed by Witness Hospitality LLC.
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Louisville North
The 93-suite TownePlace Suites by Marriott Louisville North hotel in Jeffersonville, IN, is now open. The new hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Jeff Hotel Partners LLC and managed by Dora Hotel Company of Fishers, IN.
