ATLANTA–Hotel Equities, based here, recently hired Joe Fallis to serve as the general manager of the Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody. The hotel is currently under construction at 4695 Ashford Dunwoody Rd., in the heart of the Perimeter Center area of Atlanta. It is expected to open in early summer 2017.
Fallis has responsibility and oversight of the operations of the hotel, including F&B, sales and marketing and revenue management strategies.
“Joe brings years of outstanding leadership experience, many of which he spent working in the Marriott family of hotels,” said Dominic Buompastore, Hotel Equities’ VP of Operations-Full Service & Resorts. “His combination of market and brand knowledge, along with his hospitality acumen, make Joe the perfect choice as General Manager for this beautiful new Residence Inn.”
Originally from the Atlanta area, Fallis also has hospitality experience locally and in other markets. He joined Hotel Equities from Marriott International where he served as the assistant general manager at the Residence Inn Atlanta Buckhead. Previous positions include operations specialist for Marriott’s Mid-Atlantic region and management posts with two Courtyard hotels in southern California.
Fallis has served in leadership positions with Marriott’s local area counsels and the Leadership Development Committee. Active in his community, he has volunteered with the Georgia Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Children’s Miracle Network. He holds a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Walden University. In his free time, he enjoys golf, fishing, travel and spending time with family.
