Hotel Business announced that its next Hot Topics session on the 2021 industry outlook is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 16,  from 2-3pm ET.

Hot Topics, a virtual conference platform, was launched last year with the debut event “Power Hour: Leadership Lessons.” The February event, presented via Zoom, is titled “Industry Outlook 2021: Numbers & Analysis.” It will feature experts from AHLA, CBRE Hotels Research, Kalibri Labs, Lodging Econometrics and the U.S. Travel Association, who will break down the U.S. lodging sector and offer statistical perspective and valuable insight to hoteliers and what it all means for travel and tourism in 2021.

“After the success of our first virtual Hot Topics event in 2020, Hotel Business is incredibly excited to host our next Hot Topics session to focus on the 2021 lodging and tourism industry outlook,” said Hotel Business CEO Armin Molavi. “This panel session will provide an in-depth look into our industry in what will be a pivotal year for hotels around the world. As our company continues to grow, Hotel Business is poised for growth across a myriad of platforms. We are incredibly excited to announce that Allen Rolleri and Christina Trauthwein will now serve as VP of business development and operations and VP of content and creative, respectively, to aid in that growth.”

The event will be moderated by Hotel Business and will include the following thought leaders:

  • Chip Rogers, president/CEO, AHLA
  • Roger Dow, president/CEO, U.S. Travel Association
  • Bram Gallagher, senior hotel economist, CBRE Hotels Research
  • Cindy Estis Green, CEO/co-founder, Kalibri Labs
  • JP Ford, SVP, Lodging Econometrics

Attendees will learn and have the opportunity to pose questions to the panel about the following:

  • Chain-scale forecasts
  • Construction pipeline
  • Key metrics such as RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, supply & demand, COPE revenue and more
  • Hotel/room closures
  • Recovery 2021 and beyond

Building on Hotel Business’ successful virtual panel series, Hot Topics is the umbrella brand for all of its virtual panels, with a long-term plan of expanding the brand into intimate, in-person events. Formats for Hot Topics will include town halls, panels and one-on-one interviews.

New Leadership Appointments
With the recent announcement of Rubelmann Capital’s acquisition of the Hotel Business and InspireDesign brands, the hospitality media group is poised for growth across all platforms.

Continuing with the company’s growth, Hotel Business also announced that Allen Rolleri has been named VP of business development and operations, and Christina Trauthwein has been named VP of content and creative.

Hot Topics is open for registration here and will be available on-demand after the event at archive.hotelbusiness.com. Written coverage of the session will be featured in Hotel Business magazine, on its website and via social channels.
