Hong Kong Ritz Names Ziemer Hotel Manager

HONG KONG— Michael Ziemer has been appointed hotel manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong. Ziemer joined the property as director/sales and marketing in November 2000. In his new role, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel. Ziemer has 17 years experience in the hotel industry. Previous positions include director/marketing for a number of Hyatt properties in Saudi Arabia and Australia, as well as director/rooms for the Hyatt regency Cologne, Germany. The 216-room Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong is located in the heart of Central here, near the main shopping and entertainment areas, and within walking distance of the world-renowned Star Ferry. It features six restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool, fitness center with sauna and steam rooms and a business center with meeting rooms.
