MCLEAN, VA—Hilton Worldwide will open a Homewood Suites by Hilton in Silao, Mexico, which marks the extended-stay brand’s second hotel in the country.
Scheduled to open in early 2017 in the state of Guanajuato, the new-build, 137-suite Homewood Suites by Hilton Silao developed by Edco Turismo Bajio, SA de CV will introduce its new Caribbean and Latin America design prototype in Mexico.
Homewood Suites’ Caribbean and Latin America design includes an open concept lobby that flows into an indoor/outdoor living room and dining terrace. The hotel will feature studio, one- and two-bedroom suites, all with fully equipped kitchens including a microwave, full-size refrigerator, cooktop and cooking accessories. Rooms will offer clearly defined kitchen, living and sleeping zones, as well as work space. Dining options will include a full-service bar and lounge space for breakfast, lunch and dinner; pantry with a kitchen look offering ready-made snacks; and suite shop convenience store offering a variety of items for purchase.
Located close to Del Bajio International Airport in an area of Silao experiencing strong industrial development, Homewood Suites by Hilton Silao will offer travelers proximity to the area’s main businesses, industrial parks and entertainment.
Amenities and services include complimentary Internet, daily full-hot breakfast and complimentary evening social Monday through Thursday. Recreational options at Homewood Suites by Hilton Silao will feature a fitness center and outdoor swimming pool. The hotel will also offer approximately 1,800 sq. ft. of flexible event space.
Hilton Worldwide currently has approximately 40 hotels open in Mexico. The company is actively pursuing additional growth opportunities throughout the country and has more than 20 development projects planned in Mexico.
