MCLEAN, VA—The 127-suite Home2 Suites by Hilton West Edmonton has opened in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Home2 Suites’ 37th property and first hotel in Canada, as well as Hilton Worldwide’s 100th Canadian property.
The hotel was built using pre-fabricated structural steel studs for the building’s framework as opposed to the traditional wood-frame structure, which reduced the building timeline to less than 11 months. The new construction model reinforces Home2 Suites’ commitment to sustainability, as the steel pieces are 100% recyclable, according to the company.
The four-story property is located near the West Edmonton Mall, Telus World of Science, Fort Edmonton Park and Edmonton River Valley. SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts owns and manages the hotel.
Standard Home2 Suites amenities are available, such as the Oasis lobby area, Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items and the Spin2 Cycle, a combined laundry and fitness area. Complimentary continental breakfast is also offered at the Inspired Table. An indoor saline pool, outdoor patio and fire pit are available, as well. Each all-suite Home2 Suites by Hilton property is pet friendly.
