MCLEAN, VA—Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with Saceem Group to build and operate a new 120-room Hampton by Hilton hotel in the Carrasco district of Montevideo, Uruguay.

Scheduled to open in 2017, the hotel will become the third property in Hilton Worldwide’s Uruguay portfolio, joining the Conrad Punta del Este and Hilton Garden Inn Montevideo, which is set to open later this month.

“South America is one of the most important growth markets for Hilton Worldwide,” said Tom Potter, SVP, Latin America and Caribbean, Hilton Worldwide. “The opening of a third property in the Uruguay, near this flourishing metropolis, is key in affirming our presence in the region.”

With a location in the department of Canelones, on Av. De Las Americas and Av. Racine, Hampton by Hilton Montevideo Carrasco will be near Carrasco International Airport, Costa Urbana Shopping Center, Zonamerica business center and downtown Montevideo.
