FIJI—Fiji Beach Resort and Spa, managed by Hilton, has been rebranded as Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa. The resort will join Hilton Worldwide’s existing portfolio of 21 hotels in Australasia and is an important step towards new changes to come for Hilton Worldwide in Fiji.
Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa is located on Denarau Island just 20 minutes from Nadi Airport. The resort is situated in close proximity to Fiji’s most popular attractions. The 271-room resort offers a beachfront location and includes three restaurants, a bar, spa, fitness centre, seven pools and beach access, water activities and meeting and event spaces.
Throughout 2015 Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa will continue to expand its facilities to include the opening of new meeting facilities that allow the resort to cater for larger conferences, events and social gatherings. The resort will be adding a number of additional accommodation rooms and a new food and beverage outlet; both developments are set to be finished later this year.
Hilton Worldwide’s expansion in the South Pacific is not limited to Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa. By mid 2015, the second Hilton Worldwide hotel will open in Fiji, the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji – Sonaisali Island. Located 30 minutes from Nadi International Airport, DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji – Sonaisali Island will open with 123 rooms in an expansive oceanfront location overlooking the South Pacific Ocean. The resort property will also offer a swimming pool, various restaurants and conferencing facilities.
“The rebranding of Fiji Beach Resort and Spa Managed by Hilton to Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, along with the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji – Sonaisali Island later this year, reinforces the importance of the Fijian market to Hilton Worldwide while presenting guests with a choice of different accommodation styles when visiting the beautiful destination,” said Frederic Lebegue, general manager of Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa. “We remain dedicated to providing all of our guests with the perfect Fijian holiday.”
Dilip Khatri, chairman of The Vision Group, added, “As a 100% Fijian owned company, our desire is to contribute to the Fijian economy within the tourism sector and also contribute positively to the development of our people in the industry. We are proud to have this endorsement and partnership with a global operator in Hilton.”
