BEVERLY HILLS, CA— Hilton Hotels Corp. has unveiled plans to add Waldorf-Astoria branded residences to the top of the Conrad Hotel Las Vegas. The luxury apartments will be the first Waldorf-Astoria residences separate from the Waldorf Towers, which is part of the original Waldorf-Astoria complex in New York. The $825 million mixed-use LasVegas Conrad project is being developed by locally-based Majestic Resorts on a site on Las Vegas Boulevard. Floors 11-20 of the Conrad tower will house 216 guestrooms, while floors 21-49 will house 696 Conrad condo hotel units. The 76 Waldorf-Astoria Residences will occupy the towers top 10 floors. The development is scheduled to open in 2009. Hilton made Waldorf its own brand early this year. Three luxury resorts are now managed by Hilton under the banner of the Waldorf-Astoria Collection, while a new build Waldorf has been announced for Orlando.
