SAN DIEGO—The Hilton San Diego Mission Valley Hotel has completed its multimillion-dollar renovation. The renovation includes the redesign of the hotel’s lobby, interior public spaces, 350 guestrooms and suites, and the addition of a new city-view executive lounge.
“It’s extremely exciting to unveil a completely new hotel offering an unparalleled guest experience,” said Mark Ziomek, general manager at Hilton San Diego Mission Valley. “Guests traveling to our area have demanded a premium business and leisure property, and the Hilton San Diego Mission Valley now delivers the best of both worlds in this convenient central location that’s close to both local corporations and key San Diego attractions.”
All design upgrades feature modern furnishings in a warm color palette with contemporary, high quality finishes of wood, stone and fine fabrics, according to the property. In addition, the completely restyled hotel now features 21,000 sq. ft. of re-imagined meeting and event space including a 5,000-sq.-ft. ballroom, 10 breakout rooms, flexible pre-function space, and a demonstration kitchen, complete with retractable barn doors for privacy, a hot-stone granite buffet and wood finishes.
New amenities include a new onsite restaurant concept, Polanco Kitchen & Bar, which melds Latin-style cuisine with a twist of Baja flavor. Led by executive chef Nicholas Villamil, Polanco also offers authentic 100% blue agave margaritas, an unmatched selection of local craft beers, hand-selected Spanish and California wines and specialty Blanco tequila cocktails. The property offers a new artisan food marketplace, with meals and light bites to-go as well as a Starbucks espresso bar, and a new fitness center.
