MINNEAPOLIS—The Hilton Minneapolis has just put the finishing touches on a multi-year, $22.8 million renovation. All 821 guestrooms at the downtown property have been refurbished and now feature a contemporary design with rich colors and textures and dark wood. Over-size desks with Herman Miller ergonomic desk chairs have been installed in guestrooms, along with 27-inch, flat-tube televisions and the Serenity bed by Hilton package with 250-thread-count linens and allergen-free, goose-down pillows. Bathrooms feature granite counters, framed mirrors and curved shower rods. The Hilton Minneapolis’ recently updated banquet and meeting facilities comprise more than 74,000 square feet of function space, including a 25,000-square-foot ballroom, the newly added 7,400-square-foot Symphony Ballroom and 21 additional function rooms. The hotel’s restaurant and lounge, SkyWater Cuisine and Cocktails, was redesigned in April 2006. The property also has a complimentary health club and the new Baron’s Brew serving Starbucks coffee and other breakfast items.
