BOSTON— Hilton Hotels Corp. is hosting a ribbon cutting here on Dec. 4 for its new Regional Sales Center (RSC). The first Hilton center of its kind, it will serve as a model for future RSCs nationwide. Consolidating the sales operations of seven Hilton and Doubletree hotels, the new RSC will provide streamlined “one-stop shopping” to its customers, making it easier and faster to do business with Hilton hotels in Boston. Participating hotels include the Hilton Boston Logan Airport, Hilton Boston Back Bay, Doubletree Guest Suites Boston, Doubletree Hotel Boston-Downtown, Doubletree Club Boston-Bayside, Doubletree Guest Suites Boston-Waltham and the Hotel@MIT. Several executives have been named to serve at the new Regional Sales Center. Cara Spalla has been appointed managing director of the RSC. She most recently was general manager at the Hotel@MIT. Julie Brandon, former area director of sales at the Hilton Boston Logan Airport and Hilton Boston-Back Bay hotels, has been named director of sales operations. Ed Asvarakash, Adam Myers and Marie DePaolo, who all previously served as sales directors at Doubletree properties in the region, have assumed new posts that include director of account management, director of the event sales center and training manager, respectively.
